Hello from Los Angeles, California! We are Justina & Ana. Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and for considering us as potential parents for your baby. We know this is a very difficult time for you and really respect the decision you are making for your child.
Dear Birth Mother...
Why Adoption
We have talked about having a child for many years. From the start, we knew adoption was the right way for us to build our family. We strongly believe it’s the loyalty, love, and care you give that really create a family bond. Over the years, we have built a life together that we adore. We know the final missing puzzle piece in our lives is the baby we will raise.
Our Story
Pretty quickly after meeting 14 years ago, we knew we had found our other half. We had shared values, goals, and the same goofy sense of humor. One example is our wedding day. We had a beautiful small ceremony, but wedding days can be hectic. So, in the middle of it, as we drove to our reception, we took a break, got gas, ate a bag of Cheetos (being extremely careful not to get any on our dresses), and spent time with just each other.
For us, that stolen moment together will always be one of the highlights of our special day and represents how lightness & silliness are such a core part of our relationship.
What We Do for Fun
Southern California is a great place to explore our many hobbies and interests, especially with the nice weather year-round. Here is a typical weekend in our lives. Saturday morning starts off with a long walk with our dog Mali to a coffee shop, where she always gets a little bit of blueberry muffin. In the afternoon, we might go to a nearby nature preserve with lots of birds or the beach, and at night we’ll play board games or watch a movie. On Sundays, we’ll hang out with our extended family and friends, watch a game (Justina loves women’s soccer), or enjoy the many cool restaurants in the multicultural city we live in. Additionally, Ana practices meditation, loves to work in the garden, and listen to music, while Justina loves to read and to play trivia with her parents.
About Justina, by Justina
As a child, I had the chance to grow up in two very different places. I was mostly raised in a small town in Wisconsin, where my mom, brother, and I lived. In the summers, I went to Budapest, Hungary, to have adventures with my grandparents and extended family.
My mom was the bedrock of our family, showing us how to navigate challenging times and infusing fun into everyday things. I have always wanted to be a parent because I want to build the same kind of relationship with a child, one filled with love, an ability to talk about anything, and unconditional support.
After college in Wisconsin, I moved to California to go to graduate school and build a career in healthcare, with the goal of helping people live healthier lives. My job is flexible and mostly home based. Outside of work, I love to hang out with our dog Mali, continue to improve my Spanish, watch silly TV shows, and try food from different countries.
More About Justina, by Ana
Justina is an unconditionally loving person who is full of joy and compassion.
She knows how to listen, to be assertive, and at the same time be kind. She is curious and understanding of others, a loving presence. I know she will be an amazing mother. You can see this in the patience and fun she has when talking with our nieces, and in how much she loves our little dog Mali. She is always thinking of activities we can do outdoors so Mali can join too. For her, being a mom will be her greatest joy.
About Ana, by Ana
I love music, water, nature, and our beautiful loving dog Mali.
Having been raised in Mexico, family, spirituality, and school were a central part of my childhood and teenage years. I loved school and enjoyed learning. In the summers, I cherished visiting my grandparents at their oceanside town, swimming at the beach, and eating my grandmother’s cooking.
When studying my undergrad in Mexico City and grad school in the Bay Area, I made amazing friends and I met Justina - whom I love so much. Through my education and subsequent career, I discovered my passion for programming, data stories, and economics.
Today, these experiences nourish my professional work as a small business owner, my meditation practice, and my relationships.
More About Ana, by Justina
Ana is funny, kind, loyal, and deeply intelligent. She is a lifelong learner and helps everyone around her grow too. She is passionate about protecting nature and regularly spends time in our garden with our 3- and 6-year-old nieces planting new things and teaching them fun ways to connect to nature. She loves learning about spirituality. She created a family book club focused on personal growth. She is also, very patiently, helping me become a fluent Spanish speaker. I am so excited for her to become a parent because I know she will cultivate the same love of learning in our future child.

Our Home
We live in the southern part of Los Angeles County. Our home is a cute ranch house, one block from an elementary school and a couple of miles from the ocean. The house has lots of light, a cozy bedroom that will make a great nursery, and a big backyard for a kiddo to play in.
We love the area because of its diversity, tolerance, and strong community feel. We know it will be a great place to raise our child.
Meet Our Dog, Mali
She is an amazing little being who brings a lot of joy to our lives. We got her from a rescue when she was one, and she has been part of our family for seven years. Mali is very chill and has been kid-trained by our nieces. From them, she has learned that small children love to drop food on the ground for her to snack on and has also figured out how to avoid having her ears pulled. She is definitely ready for a kid sibling of her own.
About Our Family
A big part of the connection we have as a couple is based on being raised in close-knit families with lots of love. Creating that same type of relationship in our own home has always been important to us. We are fortunate that Justina’s parents and Ana’s brother, his wife, and their two daughters, live close to us and we see each other frequently. Often on Sundays, we have breakfast all together at a nearby restaurant in a park. After we eat, we kick the soccer ball with our nieces, walk around the park with the family dogs, and see the ducks in the pond. We regularly babysit our nieces, and some of our favorite activities with them are crafts, karaoke, walking, and gardening. Our nieces are excited about having another kiddo in the family soon, and Justina’s parents are eager to spoil a new grandchild.
In addition to our family nearby, we are also close to Ana’s family in Mexico and Justina’s brother and his family in Minnesota, and extended family in Hungary. We can’t wait to take our
future child on family vacations!
Lessons We Will Teach Your Child
- You are more than enough
- Joy can be found all around us, like in music and stopping to watch a sunrise
- A meaningful life includes community, doing what you love, and living for something bigger than yourself
- The divine lives in nature and in every being around us
- It’s important to keep in mind that we are learners, not judges
If you choose us for your child, we promise to...
- Embrace them with unconditional love and acceptance in a home where they can become the person who they were meant to be
- Give them a childhood full of joy and fun: Filled with days of doing puzzles and watching movies, weekends hiking and swimming in the ocean, hanging out with their cousins, and learning about the world
- Encourage them to explore all their interests and give them access to a great education
- Teach them the value of community, of respect, of caring for nature, and of helping others
- Nourish in them faith, spirituality, and a love of the natural world
In Closing
