We want you to know: we are here for you. We understand that this is not an easy decision, but we are ready for the ups and downs of this incredible journey you are on. Should you choose us as your child’s adoptive family, we will be there for them no matter what!

We live near Los Angeles, California with our two biological sons, Aaron and Evan. Although adoption has always been discussed, it was when we were advised by our doctor against having another biological child that we knew we were meant to grow our family through adoption. We love our kids and spend most of our free time playing and experiencing the world through their eyes. We cannot wait to welcome another child into our loving family.

We met online in Fresno, CA in 2008. We hit it off on our first date and our relationship soon blossomed. Eight months later we traveled overseas together to Sydney, Australia and Wellington, New Zealand. It was an amazing experience!

Adam proposed to Heather in 2012 on a beach they often visited. Scooping Heather into his arms, Adam pretended he was going to toss her in the ocean, but barely into the surf he stopped and knelt on one knee, her back to the ocean. He presented her with a fake wedding ring (we had bought it on our first trip to Las Vegas as a prank) and proposed. Adam had been timing the waves perfectly because as soon as Heather emphatically said, "YES!" a large wave crashed over them, soaking Heather as she proceeded to curse him with laughter.

We have been a steadfast team since we met, filling the household with plenty of laughter. We both love stories, whether it is in books or on television, and we are excited to create many of our own through our experiences and adventures with our children.

Heather was born to be a mother! She is the calmest, most emotionally balanced person I’ve ever met. No matter how fussy our kids get, she is always there with loving arms to make things right.

At work, Heather is a rock star. She is exceptional at what she does and I’m certain her company is more than aware of how lucky they are to have her, and why I am more than proud to play a supporting role to her successful career. And still, when the long day of work is done, she has the loving energy to play with our boys.

Heather’s lifelong love of animals led her to graduate with a Master’s degree in Wildlife Conservation. She is the Natural Resources Director at a national environmental consulting agency.

While at first glance Adam might seem quiet, he has a wicked sense of humor and would do anything for his family. Adam is an absolutely amazing dad. When we discussed kids early in our relationship, he happily volunteered to be a full-time father so I could continue working at my dream job.

Adam never ceases to amaze me with how focused he is at maintaining a happy and loving home. My absolute favorite thing about him is how thoughtful he is. Everything he does is about our family and taking care of all of us.

Adam began his college education pursuing Aerospace Engineering but graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. Due to Heather’s exceptional career growth and the needs of our kids, Adam has lovingly embraced being a stay-at-home Dad.

We both had wonderful childhoods and our parenting style is a blend of what we considered the best of each of our experiences. We believe in talking out behavioral issues and explaining the reason behind our rules. Above all, we are open and honest with our children, letting them know they can come to us for anything and that we will always love them unconditionally.

Our goals as parents are to share in our children’s interests and talents, to grow their confidence, and to ensure they are compassionate, kind and happy human beings.

Aaron is a precocious boy with a love of learning, taekwondo, horseback riding, Minecraft and being silly. Aaron loves spending time with his younger brother and cousins, wrestling with his dad, and snuggling with his mom. He is very patient with his younger brother and tries to include him in his games often talking for Evan as he is non-verbal. Aaron is a bundle of love and is so excited to welcome another sibling into our family.

Evan is a sweetheart whose favorite thing is simply being with family and watching his older brother race around. He was born with an inherited genetic condition causing global delays. Evan is behind other kids his age in both growth and cognitive abilities. He needs a little extra help, but he always has a smile on his face and an absolutely infectious giggle that everyone falls in love with.

We own a 4 bedroom house in Santa Clarita, a suburb north of Los Angeles. Our home is two stories with plenty of living space for playing and running around.

Our community is wonderful for families with LOTS of parks (four within walking distance). The city hosts numerous family friendly community events year round.

We also have access to all Southern California has to offer only a few hours away.

Our families love getting together! We each have one brother; Adam’s younger brother, Stephen has three kids and Heather’s older brother, Richard has four kids. Between all of us there are LOTS of cousins to play with during family events and instant best friends await your child. The grandparents, Ela and Elo (Adam’s parents) and Nana and Papa (Heather’s parents) as well as Adam’s brother live in Fresno, which is a 3 hour drive north of our house. For most major holidays we drive up to Fresno and at least every other month one set of grandparents will come down to see us and just spend time hanging out.

Family times are usually hectic, loud and full of laughter.
