Hello from Cumming, Georgia! We are Christie & Brandon. It is hard to describe the profound respect we have for you as you face this monumental decision for your child. Although we have never met, we know how incredibly brave and caring you are. We are choosing to adopt because our hearts are overflowing with love, and we have waited a very long time to share that love with a child.

During our 13 year marriage, infertility has been an obstacle to our shared desire to be parents. We cherish the relationships we have with the children in our lives, especially our niece, Shelby. She has taught us the joy and responsibility of caring for a child. We cannot wait to have a child of our own to love.

We are excited that adoption is the path to make our dream of parenting a child come true! We are eager to provide your child with unconditional love, joy, and a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive and reach their fullest potential.

We met almost 16 years ago at a quaint little pub in Atlanta. When Brandon saw Christie, he just had to meet her. After talking for a while, the evening ended with Brandon asking Christie to lunch and handing her his business card. It was amazingly sweet. A couple dates later, Brandon won Christie over by singing her favorite Bon Jovi song at karaoke. We have been inseparable ever since. We were married on April 1, 2011, at Flint Hill Mansion in Atlanta, surrounded by over 150 of our closest friends and family. The beautiful ceremony was followed by a great party full of music, food, laughter, and dancing. Our friends still talk about what a great night it was. Although our wedding was on April Fool’s Day, there was no foolin’ that we were in love! We have been building a wonderful life ever since. Our personalities complement each other perfectly. We have many similar interests, yet we embrace each other’s individuality. We are a perfect team.

We enjoy spending time with our pets, exploring new places, and enjoying everything life has to offer.

Christie will be a fantastic mother because she has the biggest heart and is the most thoughtful, unselfish person I know.

Christie is the person people turn to when they need someone to talk to. The genuine warmth and respect she displays is extraordinary. Christie’s sense of humor brings laughter and joy into my life every day. Through tough times, my bad fashion choices, and even my failed attempts at dancing, she’s always there for me. She’s an amazing cook and she makes our house a home.

Christie encourages and inspires me and lets me be my true self. She is patient, yet tireless in her pursuit of a great life for our family. She is a highly skilled planner who goes the extra mile to make every birthday, holiday, vacation, or special event the BEST. Both as a teacher and a “Super Aunt”, I’ve seen Christie teach children empathy, curiosity, and creativity. She knows when to be a cheerleader and when to show tough love. I am proud to call Christie my wife and I can’t wait to start our family together.

Brandon is the epitome of a loyal and honest person. He is incredibly smart and witty.

He is my favorite person to talk with, not only because he has interesting topics to discuss, but because he is also a great listener. Our family and friends come to him often for his sound advice. He is dependable, fun, and is adored and respected by everyone he knows. His integrity is unmatched.

Brandon works day in and day out to give us the most amazing life, and he treats me with the utmost respect and love every single day. He makes me feel special, and even on the most difficult days, he makes me smile. I feel so lucky that we chose each other to spend our lives together.

Brandon has been a natural male role model to our niece. Their connection is beautiful to witness, and he is kind and sensitive to her feelings. I know that he will make an incredible father and I cannot wait to watch him share his passion for sports, history, and the world we live in with our future child.

We live in Cumming, Georgia which is a suburb right outside of Atlanta. We instantly fell in love with our house the first time we walked in. It is a 5-bedroom, single family home with a fully finished basement where we love to watch movies or sports on the big screen. The open kitchen and living room are the heart of our home, where we relax and spend quality time together. We are proud to have created a home that is inviting, warm, and perfect for your child to grow and thrive in. Our neighborhood is a beautiful place, full of friendly neighbors and lots of children. We have a variety of amenities such as a playground, community pool, clubhouse, basketball and tennis courts, walking trails, and a covered bridge that leads to a pond.

We live about an hour from the beautiful North Georgia Mountains where we love to take weekend getaways and look at the leaves changing in the fall. Lake Lanier is also nearby, and we can’t wait to go on a weekend beach adventure or visit the water park when your child is old enough! The local schools are known for their dedicated and experienced teachers who love and nurture their students. There are children from diverse family backgrounds and a wonderful sense of inclusivity and community. A truly wonderful place to raise our family.

Boliver, our adorable Dachshund, is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. Most of the time he is curled up under a blanket, but he also loves his walks around the neighborhood. He loves children and immediately cuddles up to everyone he meets.

Sookie is our sweet, chatty black kitty cat. She is equal parts chill and spunky, and so loving. She is a total lap cat. Brandon is her FAVORITE, but she loves being around people and she adores kids!

We are truly lucky to both have very supportive families, who are so excited to welcome a child into our lives. Brandon’s parents live in Memphis, Tennessee and his sister calls Lexington, Kentucky her home, but she is a world traveler. They visit Atlanta at Thanksgiving, and we go to Memphis during the Christmas holidays. We also visit throughout the year, to catch up on all the events in our lives and eat some delicious Memphis barbecue. We always have so much fun together, and they are so supportive of our adoption journey.

All of Christie’s family live in the Atlanta area, so we spend a lot of time together! Christie, her mom, and sister talk every single day to catch up on the daily happenings. Our amazing brother in law also joined the family last year. Although Christie’s step-dad passed away, we plan to honor his memory by teaching our child about his life and what a cool person he was. Christie’s dad and step-mom also live close by, and we enjoy spending lots of time with them including holidays and our annual beach trip to Destin, Florida. From trips, to birthday dinners, to movie nights, we just love being together. We have a huge village who cannot wait to spoil your child and wrap them in love!
