We met each other online and have been married for 9 wonderful years. During the winter, we love cozying up at home for family and friend game nights. We enjoy cuddling with our cat, Moetoe, reading great books, or tackling puzzles together. Summers and holidays are special times for us, spent creating memories with family and friends. We enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest through camping, hiking, or visiting local beaches. We also love traveling to destinations like Hawaii or Disney Parks. Most evenings, you’ll find us enjoying a home-cooked meal and meaningful conversations.

Starting a family and having a baby has always been a cherished dream of ours. We are excited to pursue adoption and make this dream a reality! Although we’ve faced challenges with infertility since 2019, we’ve always believed that adoption could be a beautiful path to make this dream a reality. With adoption, our goal is to provide a child with the most supportive, nurturing, and loving environment possible. Through adoption, we hope not only to fulfill our dream of becoming parents but also to give a child the best possible life. We are committed to providing enriching opportunities and experiences that support their growth and development. An open adoption allows us to offer the child everything they need to thrive while ensuring they have a strong support system. As teachers, we understand what it takes to love and care for a child who isn’t biologically related to us, and we are dedicated to giving our all to parenting and building a loving, united family.

Colette holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a B.A. in Education with a major in reading and a minor in health and fitness. With 15 years of teaching experience, she currently teaches 5th grade and serves as the head coach of a high school dance team. Colette is deeply passionate about both teaching and coaching, and she takes great pride in inspiring and challenging her students and athletes to reach their full potential.

Colette is a determined and compassionate individual who brings positivity to everyone around her. She has enriched my life in countless ways, helping me grow into a better man. At her core, Colette is dedicated to creating meaningful memories with family, friends, and even strangers, spreading light and joy wherever she can. Her exceptional organizational skills, planning abilities, and vision allow her balance home, work and family life. Her selflessness, intuition, and years of experience in elementary education make her exceptionally qualified to be an amazing parent. She works tirelessly, often without recognition, to inspire and uplift others, helping them achieve greatness in all they do. For those reasons and more, Colette will make a loving, caring and overall great mother.

Chris has a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics in education and has been a dedicated high school math teacher for 13 years. At his school, he also leads a Dungeons & Dragons club, creating a fun and inclusive environment where students can connect and build friendships. As a teacher, he enjoys sharing his passion for math with young minds and he embraces the challenge of transforming a subject that many students find difficult or unappealing into one they like. In addition to his teaching credentials, Chris has earned an MBA.

Chris is a kind, compassionate, and dependable person. His calm demeanor and logical approach to situations make him someone I can always rely on. Outgoing and friendly, Chris has a natural ability to connect with others and make them feel at ease. Whether it’s offering a helping hand, caring for others when they’re unwell, or simply being there, Chris shows his selflessness time and time again. He has a great sense of humor, a love for adventure, and an eagerness to try new things. With his unwavering support and kindness, I have no doubt Chris will be an incredible dad. He will set a wonderful example and be a caring father. He will wholeheartedly support any child he helps raise.

We live in Western Washington in a development in the country. We are blessed to be surrounded by farmland and a view of Mt. Rainier. We truly have the best of both worlds; a quiet neighborhood in the country but close to the city for convenience. We purchased our home in 2019 with the vision of a family and kids in mind. We have been living in our home for 5 years. We wanted a home that we would be filling with love, laughter, celebrations, and gatherings. When searching for the perfect home, we prioritized finding a safe community with highly rated schools that promotes success both academically and athletically, along with strong community support. We also wanted to be close to local parks, recreation areas, and lakes for swimming. Our development includes spacious green areas, a ball field for play, and a one-mile trail perfect for hiking and enjoying wildlife. Our home is a single-family house with a backyard that’s ideal for barbecues or running around and playing. One of the features we love most is the big, open living room, which provides a welcoming space for family connections. It was also important for us to have a large dining room table where we can gather for meals and enjoy family game nights, creating countless cherished memories together.

Our cat Moetoe is a 15 years young Bengal. He is a polydactyly, he has extra toes, so he has more toes then he needs. He is Colette’s cat and she is his favorite human, but Moe settles for his human number two, Chris as a good napping buddy. Moetoe is a kind and sassy kitty and loves to be around his people and loves head scratches. Chris has a betta fish named Bandit, he just swims in his tank.

We have such supportive, kind, loving and caring family and friends that we spend time with regularly. We both come from small families. Colette's family is close-knit and lives nearby, allowing us to spend time together at least once a week. Colette shares a particularly close bond with her mom, speaking with her a couple of times a day. Chris’ family, on the other hand, has moved back east to Missouri. Despite the distance, he stays in touch regularly. We have several close friends, some of whom we consider “bonus family.” Holidays and family gatherings are spent with Colette's family since Chris' family moved away, and these gatherings have become even more lively with new additions, filling the room with kid energy and laughter. All of our friends and family are incredibly excited and supportive about our adoption journey—they can’t wait to welcome a child into the family!

Our relationship is centered in trust, respect, understanding, communication, and love—values that will guide us in our parenting journey. We believe it is our role to help our child grow into the best version of themselves, providing them with guidance and unwavering support along the way. We will celebrate and embrace all the unique qualities that make them who they are. Together, we will laugh, learn, and grow as a family.
