Our path to parenthood has been long and filled with challenges we never expected, but every step has been worth it because it has led us here—to this moment, to you! Adoption has always been in our hearts, even before we became a couple. After struggling with infertility for eight years and experiencing two heartbreaking miscarriages, we took a step back to reflect. Through it all, our desire to become parents never wavered. We realized that love, not biology, is what truly defines a family. Choosing adoption feels like the path we were always meant to take, and we couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter. The opportunity to provide a child with a safe, loving, and supportive home is the greatest gift, and we are ready to embrace it with open hearts.

Our love story began in the most modern way—online! David, originally from Boston, and Jessica, from Brazil, connected while Jessica was taking a leap year to study English. From the very first conversation, we felt an instant connection, talking every day until we finally met in person—and it was love at first sight. We are best friends, partners in life, and deeply connected by our love for family, friends, and each other. We believe that love, kindness, and a good sense of humor make life meaningful. Our home is filled with warmth, laughter, and the love of our two sweet dogs. Life has been an incredible journey together, and we can’t wait for all that’s still to come.

I’m someone who finds beauty in the little things—whether it’s in nature, a piece of art, or a cozy evening spent with loved ones. Family has always been at the core of my heart, and it’s the foundation I want to build for our future child. I’m passionate about creativity and love finding ways to express myself, whether through painting, decorating, or even just crafting memories with those I care about. My friends would say I’m caring, sweet, and always ready to have fun, and I truly value the strong, lasting relationships I’ve built along the way. Becoming a mother has always been my dream. The idea of guiding a little one through life, supporting them as they grow, and watching them flourish brings me so much joy. I can’t wait to create a warm, loving home filled with laughter, adventures, and all the support they need to chase their dreams and become the best version of themselves.

Jess is the most incredible and fascinating person I know. She has lived in three different countries and traveled the world, giving her a unique perspective on life. Her Brazilian culture has deeply influenced her, instilling in her a profound belief that family is the most important thing in life. She has a remarkable ability to see beauty in everything and everyone - after all, she even married me! Jessica`s greatest gift is her unconditional love and empathy, not just for people but also for animals and nature. What makes this even more extraordinary is that she has endured immense trauma and hardship. And despite the challenges of her past, she has remained pure-hearted, strong, and full of light. She is living proof that you can walk through fire and emerge as pure gold. Marrying Jess is the best thing that ever happened to me. I love her with my entire heart, unconditionally, and I’m sure she will be an amazing mom to our future child.

I was raised in a Christian household that offered me a safe, loving, and nurturing childhood. My time attending Public Schools introduced me to a diverse community, where I had friends from different walks of life, many of whom came from more challenging backgrounds. That experience really shaped who I am today, helping me develop a deep sense of empathy and compassion for others. I’ve expressed my passions by mentoring inner-city youth for 9 years and helping friends and family along the way. My favorite things to do include having a good time with those I love by creating memories of laughter and fun. I’ve always dreamed of becoming a dad, and I truly believe that fatherhood will be the most important purpose of my life. I’m so excited to create a home filled with love, support, and opportunities for our future child—just as my family did for me and my sister. I can’t wait to pass on the lessons, values, and love that shaped me growing up.

David is the most loving and caring person I’ve ever met. He has this incredible ability to bring peace and laughter wherever he goes, and I have yet to meet someone who doesn’t instantly like him. His kindness is effortless, and his presence makes every moment feel lighter and more joyful. He is not only the best husband and friend but also an amazing son, and I have no doubt he will be the most wonderful father. He loves with his whole heart, always sees the good in every situation, and has an unwavering loyalty to the people he cares about. Our nephews absolutely adore him, and watching their bond makes me even more excited to see him as a father to our future child. David radiates warmth, peace, and love in a way that makes our home feel safe and full of happiness.

David’s hobbies: David has always had a passion for sports—basketball, football, and now tennis and golf—but recently, he’s discovered a true love for cooking! He’s amazing in the kitchen, always surprising with new dishes.

Jessica’s hobbies: Jessica is all about creativity—whether it’s painting, scrapbooking, or cake decorating. Gardening is something that brings Jess peace, and together, we love exploring new places, traveling, and trying new restaurants.

Spending time with family is at the heart of everything we do. We love hosting cookouts, celebrating holidays, and making lasting memories together. We’re excited to share our love of cooking, arts and crafts, and outdoor play with our future child. When we’re ready to unwind, there’s nothing better than cuddling with our puppies, watching movies, and enjoying our favorite snacks. We can’t wait to bring our future child into this world filled with love, laughter, and creativity!

Jessica works for a tech company that values work-life balance, offering an amazing six-month maternity leave. She plans to use every second of it to bond with our future child and be fully present during those crucial first months. David works in sales for a family-owned company that also supports work-life balance, ensuring he’ll be able to be there for Jessica and our future child as well. We’re both grateful for our jobs’ flexibility and the time it will allow us to focus on family.

We live in a wonderful, safe, and peaceful community that we absolutely love. Our neighborhood has a beautiful lake where we take our dogs for walks, and we’re excited to share those moments with our future child. Our fenced backyard is perfect for playing, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the fresh air. The area is known for its great schools, and while it’s close to stores and amenities, it’s also a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city—an ideal environment for raising a family. We’ve already set up a room in our home, filled with love and excitement, just waiting to become a cozy and welcoming nursery for our little one. It’s a space we can’t wait to fill with laughter, warmth, and all the beautiful memories we’ll create together.

Lyla, our 10-year-old Lab, is sweet and calm, while Cooper, our 5-year-old mixed breed, is playful and loving. They both adore kids and have the gentlest personalities. Whether it’s snuggling on the couch or running around the backyard, they bring so much love and happiness to our home. We know they’ll be the most loyal and affectionate furry siblings, always ready for cuddles, playtime, and endless adventures.

We truly believe we have the best village to help raise our future child. Both of our parents have moved closer to us and are beyond thrilled to be loving, hands-on grandparents. David’s family is wonderfully diverse—his grandfather was Filipino, and two of his uncles are Black. It’s a big, fun, and sometimes wild family that will surround our future child with love, laughter, and plenty of adventure. David’s sister and her two sons are ready to be an amazing auntie and big cousins. Both our moms are nurturing and warm, while our dads bring endless fun and laughter. Jessica is especially close to her mother, who will be an incredible grandma. Most of Jessica’s family is in Brazil, where her older brother and his wife are eagerly waiting to welcome their first niece or nephew. They visit every year and will play a big role in our future child’s life. We are also lucky to still have our grandparents, who have been such an important part of our own lives and will be just as amazing with our little one. Our future child will be surrounded by love, culture, and traditions from all sides, and we are so excited to share this beautiful family with them.

Family traditions are at the heart of our home, and Christmas has always been the most magical time of the year. Now that we’re married, both sides of our family come together to celebrate. Christmas Eve is filled with games and fun, while Christmas Day is all about sharing a special meal and exchanging gifts. Our potluck-style feast blends Brazilian, Filipino, and American favorites, making it as rich in culture as it is in love. We can’t wait to share these cherished traditions with our future child.

Love will always be at the heart of our parenting. We’ve dreamed of this little one our whole lives and want to create a home where they feel safe, heard, understood, and, above all, loved. Our hope is to guide them in becoming the best version of themselves while embracing their unique qualities and dreams. We want them to know they are supported in every way, that their voice matters, and that their feelings are valid. As they navigate emotions and the world, we’ll be their safe place, helping them understand and express their feelings with confidence and compassion. We know we won’t be perfect, but we will always show them the power of recognizing our flaws and the importance of forgiveness—by setting that example in everything we do. We want to fill their childhood with joy, laughter, and cherished traditions, teaching them kindness, resilience, and the enduring value of love.
