Becoming parents is the greatest desire of our hearts, and we can’t wait to share our love with a child. Adoption is very special to us because Katie’s grandmother was adopted. We admire your strength and love for your child. It’s remarkable how brave you are. We pray that God’s peace would guide you in making the best choice for you and your baby.

We met almost 20 years ago, while briefly working together & have now been married for 16 amazing years! Jonathan was impressed by Katie’s strong work ethic and that she was very sweet. Katie thought Jonathan had a kind heart and was a great listener. We quickly became good friends and couldn’t believe how many things we had in common. We were both good at math, loved animals, shared a passion for languages, and we both had Italian grandmothers.

After a year of dating, Jonathan surprised Katie by proposing on Christmas Eve at Celebration in the Oaks which is an annual holiday lights festival. A few years later, we had a fairy tale wedding in New Orleans, surrounded by our family and friends. We then had an amazing honeymoon in Hawaii, where we attended a Cirque du Soleil performance. Katie’s family owns a summer home in Greece, and we love to vacation there!

We are so excited to welcome a baby into our lives! Our journey to start a family started six years ago. We have faced many setbacks (including two miscarriages), but we have grown stronger and closer to each other. Although the delays have been difficult, they have prepared us to be better parents.

We always knew we wanted to adopt so when we struggled with infertility we instantly knew that adoption was going to be part of our story.We have personally witnessed the love that binds families together through some of our close friends who have adopted.

We look forward to the joy and challenges that parenting brings! We have a lot of fun together and love to travel and explore new places, we also enjoy hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, cycling, and playing chess and tennis.

I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana with my parents and two older brothers. I participated in Boy Scouts until I left for college and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. I learned so much from Boy Scouts from practical social skills to leadership skills I still use to this day. I inherited a strong work ethic and learned sound financial principles from my dad and grandfather. I went to college at Louisiana State University where I studied Computer Science. I am an avid reader and enjoy traveling and the outdoors. I also attend a men’s weekly Bible study.

As a future father, I promise to always listen to my child, to support their interests and to make sure they always feel loved. I plan to start a college fund early on to help them with their education so they can avoid student loan debt. I will always strive to show them that I believe in them 100%.

I am the VP of Operations for a software company that helps protect children from sex offenders and have been with my current employer for the last 17 years. Countless children are kept safe everyday with the aid of our software, which makes my job extremely rewarding. My work has flexible work from home days & plenty of time off which will be beneficial for bonding with the baby.

Jonathan is my rock. He is always there when I need him the most, ready to support and encourage me through life’s ups and downs. He is kind-hearted, selfless, loyal, dependable, and always puts his family first. He is a great listener, extremely hard working, and a good provider. He is my best friend. I can always talk to him about anything. Children are drawn to him, as he is playful and patient with them. He will make an excellent father. Our nieces and nephews adore him and love spending time with him. I can’t wait to raise a child with Jonathan by my side!

I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana in a small but loving family. I had a wonderful childhood full of fun summer vacations. My mom was a GIS mapping specialist, and my dad was a college professor. I am fluent in Greek and have studied Spanish and French. I am so excited to become a mom and can’t wait to tuck my future child in at night, to give them big hugs and kisses, to share my passion for languages and my love for animals, to teach them how to swim, play the piano and to read them bedtime stories. As a parent, I will work hard to model integrity, loyalty, empathy, and resilience.

I received a B.A. in Paralegal Studies from Tulane University and have worked as a litigation paralegal for almost ten years, mostly handling personal injury and product liability claims. I am also a certified Court & Medical Interpreter, helping thousands overcome their language barrier and teach Greek as a foreign language. In my free time I love to serve in the church nursery. I plan to be a stay-at-home mom when we welcome the baby into our lives!

Katie is the most compassionate, kind, and thoughtful person you will ever meet. She is an avid learner and will do a great job in helping our child with schoolwork. Katie always believes in me. I know she will be our child’s greatest cheerleader and provide a source of confidence. Children gravitate toward Katie because they sense her pure heart. Katie is an excellent cook, hard-working, smart, caring, patient, and will make an incredible mother!

We live in a quaint community outside of Mandeville, Louisiana! It has a small city feel; yet it’s only 45 minutes from a Great Zoo, Aquarium, and Children’s Museum in New Orleans & only 3 hours from the beach!

It is a scenic area surrounded by waterfront properties, large oak trees, hiking, and biking trails, petting zoos, children’s museums, local farmer’s markets and lots of waterfront parks and playgrounds. It’s also great for camping, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing. It has one of the highest rated school systems in the state that is technology-focused and offers a variety of award-winning academic programs. Students have the opportunity to participate in robotics, cheerleading, dance team, visual arts, creative writing, chess club, scouting and many other sporting activities.

Our home has 3-bedrooms, a separate study, 2-bathrooms and sits on 1.24 acres of land. We bought our home shortly after our wedding and remodeled the entire house which truly made it “our own”. We have lived in our home for the last 15 years. We love to entertain, host barbeques and crawfish boils, and play outdoor yard games. There are two parks within a 10-minute walk and a great elementary school just minutes away. We plan to add a treehouse swing set when the baby arrives. We live in a family-friendly quiet neighborhood with lots of young children.

Jonathan grew up in a close-knit loving family. His parents will soon be celebrating their 52nd anniversary. He has a strong bond with his brother, Bryan and is also very close to his Aunt Beth, and his cousins, Lindsay and Kyle who live in Dallas, Texas. Between the two of us, we have eight nephews, two nieces and two godchildren.

Katie is an only child and is very close to her mom, Angela who instilled good moral values and a strong faith. Katie has a special bond with her grandmother, Katherine who is still alive at 99. Katie’s grandma taught her kindness by rescuing cats and dogs and nursing them back to health. Both of our families have been great role models who showed us how to love and respect others, work hard, taught us to be kind and honest and showed us how to develop healthy relationships. We are fortunate that they both live close by and we frequently get together for barbeques and birthday parties. They are both selfless, warm, and loving and so excited to welcome a new baby.

Lassie is a rat terrier chihuahua mix also known as Rat-Cha. She is the sweetest, most loving dog, loves to roll over and get belly rubs and is very gentle with children. Boots is a rat terrier chihuahua mix as well. He is a little shy but very affectionate. Boots and Lassie do everything together, whether it’s napping, lounging in the sun, or playing in the backyard.
