Hello from Los Angeles. We are Becky & Randy. There are no words adequate enough to express how brave and selfless your decision is. We are honored and humbled that you are considering us for such a life changing blessing. While it hasn’t happened for us naturally, we have always wanted a family. We hope as you read about us that you feel the love and nurturing that we can provide to your child. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us and give us the true blessing of loving your child unconditionally.
Dear Birth Mother...
Our Love Story
Life is a period of moments and this was one of those that altered our lives forever. The first time we hung out was at a dinner in Los Angeles to catch up with a mutual friend. We still talk about how different life would be had we not accepted that dinner invitation!
After 4 years of dating, Randy proposed in Santa Cruz, California in our room overlooking the ocean. He was so nervous (in a cute way!) that he forgot to get down on one knee. We were joined by family and friends for a December wedding in San Marcos, California for a full weekend of celebration.
Our romance and friendship has taken us on many adventures! We've travelled to Europe, Hawaii and across the US. We also love spending time with family and friends locally!
We do everything together! Whether it's running errands or lounging at home watching our favorite sports team, we are relaxed and most comfortable when together! We are so grateful that we have found each other and have a companion to share our life with, and are excited to open our home and hearts to children and be a family.

All About Randy, by Randy
I’m an only child in a close-knit family. My parents worked hard to provide me with the best life I could have. They encouraged me to be the best I could be, and to be well rounded to succeed in whatever career and lifestyle I pursued.
My motto in life is we work to live not live to work, and I enjoy my work in lease negotiating. With a flexible work-from-home schedule and generous paid paternity leave, I plan on being present as much as possible during our child’s formative years through their success later in life. I want to actively participate and be present for all of our child’s successes and (failures!) in whatever activities they want to participate in.
More on Randy, by Becky
Randy is my best friend. He is the most thoughtful, selfless and understanding man that graced my life. He cares deeply about our marriage and always wants the best for us, our family and our friends. Randy is very respectful and has a quiet presence that is both calming and supportive. But don’t be fooled-he still loves to speak up with his dad jokes and takes dancing breaks in the middle of the workday! Randy is very nurturing and sensitive and I can’t wait to watch him be a dad.
Randy Loves…
- Books: I read everything from Stephen King to historical nonfiction, and my favorite is The Dark Tower by Stephen King
- Travel: I love to travel, see new things and experience new cultures
- Movies: I love Marvel Comics and seeing them translated to the big screen
- Exercise: Running is my go to for relaxation and health. I have run 3 half marathons and plan on running more in the future
- Sports: While my favorite sport is hockey (go San Jose Sharks!) I like the Oakland A’s, San Francisco Giants, and San Francisco 49ers as well
All About Becky, by Becky
I am very close to my parents and sister and speak to both of them daily (whether they like it or not!). I am CFO of a horse racing track. I can work remotely and plan on cutting down hours to be home for our future child. Although I enjoy my position, I will be making our child my number one priority and look forward to switching my focus to motherhood. I cannot wait to share with our child my love for arts and crafts, reading and exploring new cultures and experiences!
More on Becky, by Randy
There are so many attributes that Becky has that made me fall in love with her. Becky is artistic and creative. She is always trying to learn new things, may it be with art sessions with her mom or doing new crafts with her sister. Becky always believes in me and supports me unconditionally, which I know will carry through to being a mother. She is loyal to those she loves. She sees the best in people and works through life challenges with optimism and positivity. She keeps a cool head in difficult situations, and comes up with practical steps to resolve them. Becky is adventurous and loves to try new things. She even went skydiving to celebrate her sister’s birthday. Becky loves to absorb culture and immerse herself in different ways of life to learn and grow. I can honestly say that I do not know a kinder, more caring and talented woman out there. I know she will be a wonderful mother!
Becky Loves…

- Sports: I like all the teams from Philadelphia first (Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, Flyers, in that order) and then will root for Randy’s favorites!
- Travel: I love to travel, see new things and experience new cultures. I once backpacked through Europe by myself for 7 weeks!
- Exercise: I go to regular Soulcycle spinning class. It gives me both a physical and mental boost!

Home Sweet Home
We live in the valley village area of Los Angeles, in a family oriented neighborhood. Our house has 3 bedrooms and a spacious backyard that has a basketball hoop, and plenty of room to play outdoors. It also has a large covered patio area that we like to use for enjoying meals, reading, Becky’s art sessions, some outdoor TV watching, and relaxation time. Becky’s parents and a lot of our friends are frequent visitors to our home, often showing up during the holidays or for small get-togethers.
Our neighborhood has several nice features. There are many public parks and hiking trails within easy driving distance; even a movie studio and theme park, Universal Studios. One of the parks has a built-in running path that Randy often uses to train for his next race! The neighborhood is very safe and has shops, restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance of our house. We try to walk when we can since it seems to always be sunny in Southern California.
Meet Our Cat, Lucky
Our third (and furry) member of the household is an orange tabby cat named Lucky, who has been with us as long as we’ve been together. Some of his favorite pastimes are snuggling up to Becky or Randy on the couch, sitting on Becky’s computer while she’s trying to work, running around the house with his cat toys, gracefully begging for food, and sitting in the sunlight in an incredibly lazy, but very cute, fashion. We can’t wait to introduce Lucky to your child!
Family and Friends
Becky’s family live close by and we see them often, whether its watching a sports game together or painting in the backyard. They have already told us that that they are inviting themselves to our first trip to Disneyland as a family!
Randy’s mom lives in Fremont, California in the home that Randy grew up in. Randy’s mom loves going to baseball games and will be thrilled to be able to take our child to the same baseball games she took Randy as a child. Randy’s dad recently passed away but we know he would be so proud of our journey!
Your child would be the first grandchild for our parents, and they are so excited! Our parents will be a loving and nurturing presence in our child’s life and will love playing and help us take care of them. Collectively, we have extended family all over the US, and even Israel and Australia! We make it a priority to gather for special occasions and make trips to visit to catch up and watch all of the children grow! We even have weekly zoom calls with Becky’s 10-year-old cousin to talk baseball and all things sports!
We also have a very close knit group of friends that we have known for over 20 years! We love seeing our friends and watching their families grow as well. We have an amazing support system and feel so blessed to call them our chosen family.
Five Favorite Family Traditions

- Celebrating holidays together
- Books before bed and watching Wonder Years together as a family
- Baseball games during the summer
- Vacations to visit family
On Parenting
The greatest gift of parenting to us is being able to nurture, educate, support and watch our child grow to be the person they are meant to be. As parents, we will be there every step of the way, through the happy and sad times, through their successes and failures, and the highs and lows. We will encourage open and honest communication and hope that our home will be filled with love, laughter and learning!
We Look Forward To…
- Family dinners in the backyard
- Coaching our future child’s sports team
- Reading bedtime stories
- Playing in the park and going to the beach
- Traveling to the East Coast to meet all our extended family
