Hi there! We are Sarah, Luke, Marshall and Mason from California. Words can hardly express the gratitude we have for you and your willingness to share the gift of life. Your well-being in this process is very important to us. Although, we cannot perceive what you are going through, we imagine choosing loving and supportive parents for your child will bring you peace. If you choose us, we promise to provide your child with unconditional love and support for the rest of our lives. We can’t wait to meet you!
Dear Birth Mother...
Why We Are Adopting
Sarah has always known from a young age that she could not conceive. As a result, from early on in our relationship, we made the decision to grow our family through adoption. Adoption has been the most incredible blessing. Through adoption, we were able to become parents to our two beautiful boys.
We are now looking forward to welcoming a new member into our family whoever he or she may be.
Our Story
Our story began in 2007 when we first met each other at work. We were both servers at a local Italian restaurant. After accidentally going out on a date (Luke thought they were just going to dinner as friends, Sarah perceived it differently), we instantly hit it off and have been inseparable ever since. We got engaged in 2010 on an Italian Gondola ride through New Port Harbor. Sarah retrieved a bottle from the water that had a letter enclosed saying “Will You Marry Me?” Fast forward twelve years later and we are more in love today than the day we said “I do.”
Our Hobbies & Interests
- Our ideal day is hanging out at home cooking dinner together and listening to music, or taking a walk to our community park and swimming pool. On the weekends we love to go to our family’s vacation house on the central coast and/or for hikes.
- We have always enjoyed traveling. Because we both love the ocean, cruises are one of our favorite ways to travel. One of our favorite cruises was to Cabo San Lucas where we got to swim with dolphins. We have traveled all over the United States visiting several national monuments and museums. One of our most cherished memories was seeing the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park.
- We love to cook and have people over. With Sarah’s family being Sicilian, Italian food has always been our favorite to serve. Sarah makes the best homemade meatballs, while Luke loves to make pizza outside on the grill.
- Luke is very musically inclined. He can play both the piano and the cello. He plays the cello every Sunday in our church’s orchestra. Luke collects Classic Rock vinyl and loves going to old record stores.
- Sarah enjoys being creative through art. She loves drawing portraits with graphite pencil. Marshall and Mason are two of her most beloved subjects.
About Sarah, by Sarah
I have a Bachelors degree in English and a Masters degree in Education and Administration. I taught 6th grade at a title-1 magnet school for 10 years before deciding to postpone my career to be a stay-at-home mom. Staying home with my boys has been the most rewarding experience of my entire life! I am so blessed to be able to teach, mentor, and play with them every day. If you were to talk to any one of my friends, they would say that I am an exceedingly creative person. One of my favorite past times is art. Black and White graphite portraits have become my medium and subject of choice. I have drawn several members of my family and given them as gifts. nothing makes me happier than making people smile through gifts and entertaining. That’s why I love to cook and have people over. My way of showing love is through food, especially baking. I make an amazing four berry pie, as well as homemade sourdough bread.
More About Sarah, by Luke
Sarah is an incredible person. She has the joyful spirit and loving heart that endears herself to everyone she meets.
Sarah had the goal of being a teacher from an early age and taught for 10 years before our second son Mason was born in 2021. After Mason was born, she decided to take a step back from education to be a stay-at-home mom to our boys. Her constant passion for children and willingness to serve others continues to amaze and inspire me. Sarah is the strongest woman I know, watching her overcome personal and professional adversity while always landing on her feet with grace is truly something that I admire. She is a wonderful mother to our boys, and watching her teach them and play with them is always the best moment of my day.
About Luke, by Luke
I have a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Marketing, and over a decade of professional experience as a Senior Operations leader in the Retail, Supply-chain, and Logistics industry.
Outside of work I spend every possible moment with my family: whether its playing music (I personally play piano and cello), building things in the garage (furniture is my jam), exploring the outdoors through hiking and camping, or spending time in the kitchen cooking – I am focused on sharing my passions and talents with my children. Cooking’s one of my favorite family traditions, our kitchen is hub for testing new recipes and crafting old family favorites. Lately, some of my favorite moments have been teaching my oldest son how to cook. Our thing? Making a scratch-made pasta dish with homemade noodles and Parmesan—it’s our go-to masterpiece.
More About Luke, by Sarah
I love Luke more today than I did the day I married him. He has a way of making everyone around him smile.
He is enthusiastic, fun, and always up for a new adventure. Luke is a hard-worker and good provider for his family. He has every quality in a man that I imagined in both a husband and a father. Luke’s kind heart is one of the main reasons that I fell in love with him. He is always the first one to go out of his way to help a relative, a friend, or a co-worker whenever they are in need. Luke is an amazing father to our sons Marshall and Mason. They do everything together. From cooking dinner, to cleaning out the garage, to going on weekend daddy/son outdoor adventures. Wherever “daddy” is, that’s where our boys want to be.

About Marshall & Mason
Marshall was adopted in 2018. He is the smartest, most loving 5-year-old little boy. He loves school, art, Legos, church, and most of all music. When he grows up, he either wants to be a police officer or a worship pastor. Marshall adores being around other kids; whether it be at school, with his cousins, or with his little brother Mason. He is definitely a people person. Watching him around babies is the cutest thing! He loves giving them kisses and snuggles.
Mason was adopted in 2021. He is our little comedian. At only 2 years old, he already has that boyish charm down. He loves animals, Legos, puzzles, and cars. Mason enjoys being around other kids. One of his favorite things to do is go to the park while his big brother is at school and play with his little neighborhood friends. He gets so excited anytime he sees a baby. We look forward to seeing him as a big brother!
Our Home and Community
We live in a charming Spanish style home in a private community in Central California. Our neighborhood is very family oriented with frequent events for kids such as the Harvest Festival at Halloween, Egg Hunting at Easter, and breakfast with Santa at Christmas.
It is a great location because we are only a short 2 hour drive from everything: the beach, the mountains, and the desert. Our home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and is only a five minute walk from the community clubhouse and swimming pool. One of our favorite rooms in the house is Luke’s music room. Him and the kids spend a lot of time in there listening to records, playing the piano, and singing karaoke. Our local elementary school has an academic and readiness rating of 9/10. Our son Marshall attends Transitional Kindergarten there and absolutely loves it!
Meet Our Dog
Olive is our chihuahua/maltese mix. Olive has a very caring personality. She genuinely loves people and gets so excited when anyone comes to visit. She and our sons play great together. Their favorite things to do are play fetch and chase each other around the backyard.
Our Faith
Our faith is extremely important to us. We are involved in several ministries at our church. Luke plays cello in the church orchestra, while Sarah sings in the choir. Twice a month, both Sarah and Luke teach Sunday school in Marshall’s TK class. Sarah also serves at the coffee bar one Sunday a month.
Loved Ones
We both come from loving families with strong Christian values. Both of our parents have been married for over 40 years. Luke has four sisters, Sarah has one brother. Together we have six nieces and three nephews. We are all very fortunate to live in the same town and see each other often.
Sarah’s parents live only two streets over, which is great because they see Marshall and Mason a few times a week. Most Sundays we have “Family Dinner Night” with Sarah’s family. After dinner we all play board games. “Apples to Apples” is all our favorite!
Every year for Thanksgiving Luke’s family comes to our house for dinner. After dinner we all play Bingo with King Size candy bars as the prizes!
Our Thoughts on Parenting
Education is exceedingly important to us. With Sarah being a teacher, the value of a good education is irreplaceable and something that we want for our children.
One of the biggest passions as a family is music. Whether it be playing an instrument or singing in the choir, music plays a large part in our lives. Luke always says, “Music is like the soundtrack of life. It can express emotions, when words can’t.” We hope to pass on to your child a love for music.
In Closing
We will raise your child with the values of honesty, compassion, friendship, loyalty, love and respect. The Christian faith is a large part of our lives. Our future child will grow up in the church knowing and loving the Lord. Education is also very important to us. We will provide them with the opportunity for a college education. We will ensure that they grow up to be well rounded and cultured individuals. We promise that we will do everything in our power to be the best parents for your child.
Wishing you all the best,
Sarah & Luke
